How To Apply Beard Oil The Right Way, A Step-By-Step Process For Luxurious Hair.

Are you a pro to the beard oil regime? Are you new to growing out your stubble? Do you love your beard but hate the way it scratches your ‘ol lady’s face when it’s cuddle-time? How about just looking for a new routine with a different result? Regardless if you’re a new or veteran beard grower, here at Black Dog Beard Oil we have you covered for all your needs, including the right way to apply our product.

Step one: Dampen and clean your beard. Take a shower. Everybody needs a shower at least once a day, whether you work tirelessly in a factory, out in the elements shingling a roof, in an office clacking away on a keyboard, or even bagging groceries for a Karen who insists you bag her products the right way. A clean beard is a healthy beard and a hot shower opens the pores on your skin, allowing for more hydration to seep in the follicles and moisturize your hair. Once cleaned, towel-dry your beard so it’s still slightly damp, not soaking wet. If soaking wet, the oil will just run off the hair, onto your clothes, which wastes product and wastes money. None of us want that. So the proper way saves you money by extending the time you need to buy another bottle and doesn’t leave stains on your clothes and looking like you’re six years old again and chewing on your shirt.

Step Two: Measure amount. The amount of Black Dog Beard Oil you put in the palm of your hands depends entirely on how short or long your beard is. Obviously, the shorter your beard, the less you need and the longer your beard is, yada-yada-yada, you get the jist. For stubble under an inch, use 1-3 drops. the goal here is to primarily moisturize your skin and massage the pores to promote beard growth. For 1 to 3 inches of beard hair, use 3-6 drops. Longer hair requires more hydration to prevent split ends and itchiness. For 3 to 6 inches of beard hair, use 6-10 drops. Anything longer than 6 inches, use 10+ drops, or roughly half a dropper full of beard oil. Some experts may recommend starting with 20 drops(full dropper) of oil for very long *Yeards.”

Step Three: Warm it up!(Cue the rave music). Rub your hands together to spread the oil evenly over your palms and fingertips. The palm of your hands should look shiny and glistening in the light with our golden oils, a sure sign of good quality. A good quality beard oil helps lock in moisture longer, resulting in better shine, better hair, and a great conversation piece to boost confidence and looking good while performing any job thrown your way.

Step Four: Target the Skin. Massage the oil into the roots of your beard, focusing on the skin underneath, not just the hair. This prevents dryness and itch. If you find that there isn’t enough oil to cover your beard, apply a couple more drops. A couple drops goes a long way as oil easily spreads. You dont want your hair saturated in oil. You’re not preparing to put your face in the deep-fryer, and, while our oil isn’t flammable and is food-grade safe, it’s still not recommended to have the beard dripping in oil(unless you and your partner are into that sorta thing, then by all means you do you. We never judge).

Step Five: Distribute and Style. Use a comb or boar bristle brush to work the oil through to the tips and style as desired. If you always wanted that handlebar moustache look, or that rough-on-the-outside-but-sweet-on-the-inside biker look, go all for it. It’s your beard, style in however you want to your heart’s content and look good while smelling amazing while doing it. Daily application of Black Dog Beard Oil helps keep the beard healthy, moisturized, and softened. It’s best used in the morning for a great all-day feel that everybody will notice and you can proudly say: “I’m wearing Black Dog Beard Oil, be jealous!”
